This beautiful home really was a builders delight, and a perfect opportunity for Pembroke London Homes to showcase some of our Canadian roots. In consultation with our client, we developed a design that referenced classic North American architecture, whilst retaining the best in modern innovation and convenience. We believe the end result speaks for itself, an enchanting mix of the old and the new.
Backing onto the third hole at one of the most picturesque golf courses in Perth, this five bedroom home truly encapsulates the best in craftsman design. The uniformity of vision extends from the exterior to the interior, with the impressive and yet welcoming entrance providing the conduit from the outside, in. This impressive synthesis of materials and design is anchored by an exterior facade sporting 45 degree roof pitches, a chimney adorned in San Franciscan stonework and an entrance framed through tapered columns. Seamlessly, the outer gives way to a warm interior, highlighted by truly spectacular woodwork throughout, complete with raking upper floor dormers, that provide both function and form.
Building this home was a welcome challenge for Pembroke | London and required meticulous attention to detail and client cooperation over the 12 months it took to complete, ensuring that this vision of North American character and idyllic Australian countryside will be enjoyed for years to come.
WEMBLEY DOWNS WA
Set in leafy Wembley Downs this three story contemporary home ticks all the boxes for today’s modern living. Our client desired a home that would push the boundaries of modern architecture whilst still being fun and functional for their growing family. In conjunction with our client, we have developed a house that combines innovative materials and economic use of space to deliver a house that is both stately and refreshingly modern.
A picture of modern suburban ingenuity, this expansive residence accommodates five bedrooms and plenty of living area, while managing to maintain a small footprint. Economic use of space allows for a magnificent outdoor area complete with a fabulous concrete pool and alfresco dining area, perfect for entertaining. This beautiful home truly captures all that that is modern family living.
We were able to use this space so efficiently in part by utilising building techniques popularised in other countries, but not here. A fully developed basement forms a third floor and acts as both another area for recreation and a cool home for our client’s wine cellar. Another welcome feature allowed by the basement is in-floor heating, offering radiant heat to both the main floor and basement.
Being situated on a steep gradient, this home presented some construction challenges to overcome, requiring days of rock breaking and the delicate construction of a pool positioned on the boundary. Fortunately the final completion resulted in an outstanding residence completed in under 11 months.

Home to an executive couple, they came to us hoping to capture the true essence of North American architecture. With thorough consultation, we helped realise their dream and delivered what we believe to be, a superb craftsman styled residence.
Outfitted with all of the latest modern conveniences this home’s true character shines thanks to turn of the century features such as eyebrow dormers, curved barrel ceilings, exterior stonework to chimneys and so much more.

This contemporary, large, three bedroom home was designed with a nod to both cafe chic and the ever stylish New York loft. The home is a great example of how modern styled living, full of clean lines and concrete-like finishes can interact seamlessly with the fun and functionality of the family home. With a relatively quick build time of six months, the challenge for us was to construct a residence knowing fully what the client was wanting to achieve and realising that vision for them.
Understanding what the client wants is something we pride ourselves on. We also understand that simply being beautiful is not enough in todays world. It’s important to be smart and that means including some of the best and most useful technology into this home. Whether that be smart wiring to all of the rooms, intelligent air conditioning, solar power or insulated double brick, insulated roofs, passive heat transfer vents, and rooftop ventilators. Smart technology and energy efficient living have never been more important or accessible.
This functionally classy home oozes cool, from the bistro kitchen to the incredible roof lines and exposed brick, a perfect residence for the “on the go” lifestyle we enjoy here in Perth. Proving that just because you move to the suburbs, doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice your taste and eye for individuality.

A real favourite at Pembroke London, this incredibly attractive home boasts all the functionality and space needed for a growing family. Together with the steep roof pitches and huge front porch pillars it just screams character.
Using very large attic trusses we were able to add an extra generous sized bedroom over the garage to this executive style home. Again the use of mixed building material, including stonework and angled knee braces really serves to capture the craftsman stylings.
